PMI Southern Maryland Chapter Event - PG County, May 2017 Join us for our Chapter Event in PG County on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm to discuss Risk Management fundamentals and practices that will support the practical PM. Please register now for the event as space is limited. Risk management has become a necessary part of any large project from mega infrastructure, to information technology, to financial services. Even small projects benefit from this evolution in technique. The practice of project risk management (PRM) has become increasingly quantitative. Today cost and schedule uncertainties are easily modeled using commercial-off-the-shelf apps, while statistical tools applied to project metrics allow the PM to track and forecast performance, and more importantly to anticipate things that might go wrong. Current approaches to PRM will be discussed and practical methods highlighted. Speaker: Gregory B. Baecher, PhD NAE Sponsored by: Accredited by PMI’s Global Accreditation Center www.pm.umd.edu
