Legacy Flight Academy® Presents: Eyes Above the Horizon® - Maryland (2026)
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8:00AM to 4:00PM, at Maryland Airport (2W5)
3900 Livingston Rd Indian Head, MD 20640, Legacy Flight Academy® (LFA) will host Eyes Above the Horizon®, LFA's unique 1-day outreach, flight introduction program, for students ages 10-19
LFA is seeking volunteers to support the Eyes Above the Horizon program. Volunteers will serve as in varying roles, to include:
- Volunteer Management
- Student Operations
- Logistics
- Medical/Safety
- Marshall aircraft
- Events
- STEM
- Character Development
- College/Career
- Vendors/Speakers
- Youth Team Leads
- Pilots
- Flight-Ops
- PR/Media/Marketing
- Oversight
Eyes Above the Horizon® is an outreach and flight orientation program designed to inspire youth to reach beyond their familiar circumstances and to consider pursuing careers in Aviation and STEM.
This program provides youth from underserved and underrepresented communities with an opportunity to develop and foster an interest in aviation careers through flight introductions, mentorship, and immersion into the rich history and LEGACY of the Tuskegee Airmen. No previous aviation experience is necessary.
