Volunteer for PMI SoMD November 1 Professional Development Day!
Dear PMI Southern Maryland Chapter Members:
Calling all volunteers!! The PMI Southern Maryland Chapter is hosting their 5th annual Professional Development Day (PDD) on Friday, November 1, 2019, and we need your help to make this event a success.
The PDD is being held at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center, 44219 Airport Road, California, MD 20619.
Volunteers are needed the day prior and day of the event to assist with the following tasks:
Day prior: Thursday, October 31, 2019
- Furniture setup (Registration, Vendor and Gift tables)
- Decorations (Sponsor and Vendor tables)
- Food setup (Lunch, Snack and Beverage tables)
- Assemble swag bags
- Audio Visual (AV) testing (Speaker briefs, Microphone, and Music)
- Signage (Placing event signage outside and inside venue)
- Perform other tasks, as needed
Day of: Friday, November 1, 2019
- Assist with check-in and onsite registration
- Welcome attendees
- Serve as personal assistant to guest speakers (throughout the day)
- Perform audio visual (AV) tasks (Speaker briefs, Microphone, and Music)
- Time speaker’s presentation
- Assist with food setup and replenishment, as needed
- Assist with breakdown/cleanup (pack/remove event supplies, decorations, and signage)
- Perform other tasks, as needed
PDUs: Earn 1 PDU for every volunteer hour
