Speaker: Major General (Retired) Stanford E. Holman
Topic Summary
Sanford E.Holman is a Task Leader/Senior Management Consultant of PCI - Strategic Management, LLC. He is a PMP and currently assists Federal Government clients with strategic, portfolio, program and project plans.
He has over 40 years of management experience, including 37 years in the U.S. Army, serving at home and abroad. He served in leadership positions from the platoon to the division level and as a staff officer from the battalion to the Office of the Secretary of Defense level. His service includes four combat tours where he earned the Bronze Star Medal. He is a retired major general.
Sanford served in the Horn of Africa for OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM from 2007 to 2008. The mission included the execution of a portfolio of several Civil Action Programs among several countries. The mission accomplishment serves as an example of how the military decision-making process (MDMP) and orders production process bears close resemblance to PMI project planning and monitoring in accordance with the project management book of knowledge (PMBOK).
