Speaker: Dr. Ken O'Connell
Scheduling Disciplines are core to Project Management. Join PMI Southern Maryland Chapter April 19th at 7pm as Dr. Ken O'Connell, a renowned scheduling expert, shares with us his knowledge and experience in Project Scheduling. His topic this month is: Updates and Impacts - Modifying the Plan.
Dr. O’Connell is a co-founder and president of O’Connell & Lawrence, Inc. His firm specializes in providing construction consulting, project management, scheduling, claims analysis and preparation, civil engineering, construction inspection, constructibility review, and surveying services.
Dr. O’Connell is a court and board recognized expert in engineering, CPM scheduling, construction scheduling, delay analysis, and construction productivity. He specializes in the use of computer software to produce as-built schedules and to analyze CPM schedule updates. Dr. O’Connell recently served on the task force that developed the new CPM scheduling specification for the Maryland State Highway Administration. He has performed schedule analyses on some of the largest construction claims in the United States. His testifying experience includes deposition testimony and court and board testimony.
Dr. O'Connell teaches Advanced Project Scheduling, Graduate Introduction to Project Scheduling, , and Project Planning, Estimating, and Scheduling for the University of Maryland PM Center of Excellence.
