PMI SOMD Chapter Event - PG County
Wayne Abba, one of the world’s foremost experts on Earned Value Management and the President of the College of Performance Management, will trace its evolution over the half-century since it became formal DoD policy in 1967. Conceived as Cost/Schedule Control Systems Criteria, EVM’s basic tenets have remained unchanged for 50 years.
Meanwhile, advances in management technology have made it an increasingly powerful tool for disciplined integration of program/project scope, schedule and technical performance management and measurement. Wayne will illustrate EVM’s value with two case studies: The Navy’s A-12 Avenger II and the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. One program was a spectacular failure, the other a spectacular success. EVM worked for both.
Come ready to learn from a true EVM Master! In our recent survey, you asked for a better understanding of EVM, so here is your opportunity to learn from an expert and get your EVM questions answered.
Food and Soft Drinks will be provided.
