Debra Brown is a dynamic management professional with over 25 plus years’ experience in Information Technology (IT) Project and Program Management, and has served in Operations, Marketing Product Development and Finance areas for Fortune 50 corporations. She has led strategic and tactical initiatives closely with C-level executives, technical teams and customer stakeholders to align global priorities for the successful implementation of technology plans, innovative solutions and services.
She has a wealth of management experiences within the commercial sector to include consulting services to federal clients seeking the best technologies the marketplace can bring to bear for their critical national and international missions. She has directed, managed and implemented the successful deployment of projects and programs up to $500M. She has effectively managed cross-functional teams and direct reports (10-400) supporting a wide range of initiatives such as infrastructure enhancements, new product launch requiring systems/processes, technology and feature rich system capabilities for cutting edge technology such as cloud computing, unified communications, data and voice solutions.
She is often selected by executive leadership to play integral roles on corporate wide systems integration, merger transitions to ownership of high-profile projects. She has supported Information Technology contracts for large federal clients. She has been responsible for managing the entire scope of IT products and services within the IT Program Management Office (PMO) with a portfolio of over 100 client projects. She introduced industry standards and project management best practices and methodologies for her staff, contractors and vendors to adopt and greatly improve operational efficiencies within the entire IT organization. She has worked closely with finance and contract leads to manage the profitability of client engagements.
Debra Brown’s leadership has aided organizations to ensure better management of risks to business plans, improvements with change management leading to operational efficiencies. Debra Brown is a seasoned leader, problem-solver, team consensus player and is often solicited to serve as a trusted advisor for clients and internal leadership teams to execute complex enterprise solutions.
She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master’s degree from Howard University and is a licensed Project Management Professional (PMP). Additionally, she earned the George Washington University Project Management Masters certificate. She gained certification for Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3 and Agile PM.
