During a career in the UNITED STATES NAVY as an Ocean Systems Technician, Surface Warfare Officer, and Naval Intelligence Officer he served on the staff of Commander Naval Forces, Japan, at the Fleet Ocean Surveillance Information Facility in Kami Seya, Japan, aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), USS Peleliu (LHA-5), and USS Sample (FF-1048), at Navy Recruiting District Los Angeles, and at Naval Facility Argentia, Newfoundland, Canada.
In the 18 years since retiring from duties with the US NAVY, Scott has worked closely with multiple DoD and Federal Agencies in the provision and direction of Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Telecom, Application Development, Service Desk, and Financial Services under Quality Program Frameworks and Performance Based Contracting. As a contractor, he has been employed with Command Technologies, Inc., Pragmatics, Inc., Advanced Systems, Inc., Imagine One Technology and Management, Inc., and Twenty Second Century Technologies, Inc.
